Week 2 Weigh In

Click me to Enlarge

Well here you go.  our family has lost a total of 17.5 pounds in 2 weeks.  Not bad, we could do a lot better though.  It's only going to get harder from here on out.

Now you can look at the Pace chart and see where you stand right now.  If you are below the milestone marker of 4 then you need to think about what you might change to do better.  If you see milestone 4 then you're doing good so far but keep pushing hard because your body WILL hit that wall at some point and you'll feel like you're doing what you should but not losing weight.  It's at that time that you'll feel like quitting.  Just gut it out and push through.

Just remember that even though Christmas is coming up in less than 2 weeks doesn't mean you can't eat right and be healthy

1 week down

Well, we are 1 week down, only 4 billion to go.  I know that it's not an official weigh in but thought I would share with you some small stats that Addie and I did this week.

Chris
4.5 miles run
2 half p90x workouts
1 jillian shred level one workout
-4.2 pounds

Addie
1 mile run
2 jillian shred level one workouts

We didn't feel like we should push it quite yet in the first week.  In fact, by Wednesday my legs already felt like jello and had to take a couple days off from everything.  We both plan and upping our game a little each week.  We've been eating a lot better, and as we were walking through the grocery store the other day, I kept looking at food labels.  Which by the way, did you guys know that a serving size of fig newtons is 2 cookies?  geez, I eat those by the sleeves.

Oh and he're from the initial weigh in.  I even put the date setting on the camera to prove it.

Well, here we are.  I'm sorry the picture can't be bigger by default.  It's just too large to display on the regular screen.  It's better to just click on it to view the data anyway.  To explain what's going on in the document.

Top left: how many pounds lost during every 2 week portion
  • also shows what milestone you are on and what prize that is.  You can see a list of milestones and prizes on the chart below this one
Top Right: shows how many pounds you'll end up with if you keep losing at the rate that you are losing.
  • This is a good indicator of where you stand in the competition and whether you need to step it up a bit or not.
Family Chart:  Puts all of us together like we are all one person and tracks how we do as a unit.

Standings:  just shows where everyone stands according to their % lost

Bottom right: shows our current weight, the weight we have to get to to earn an ipad and how many pounds left to go til we achieve that goal.

Pie chart: won't actually work til we have some numbers in from Dec 12.  you'll understand when you see it.
